‘Ain’t Over Yet’: JCPD Internal Affairs Lt. Lorenzo Tosado’s testimony, Maietti’s settlement

Retired JCPD Capt. Joseph Ascolese and Lt. Kelly Chesler still stand trial, here’s some video (Lorenzo Tosado testimony) and reading material (Michael Maietti settlement) until next week.

Lt. Lorenzo Tosado and Judge Mirtha Ospina

Currently working on some non-trial articles. Though I’ve attracted an audience of about 1,100 to 1,300 people following the The State vs Joseph Ascolese, Kelly Chesler, and Michael O’Neill, I think some of my core followers have lost interest in the subject.

In the meantime, because I heard a lot of Jersey City Police Department officers are interested in watching the testimony of Internal Affairs Lt. Lorenzo Tosado, I’m posting the videos now. That’ll leave plenty of time for those who want to watch two-and-a-half hours of testimony from now until the weekend’s over.

As previously reportedReal Jersey City filed an Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request for Michael Maietti’s settlement agreement with the City of Jersey City on September 21, 2018. Maietti is receiving nearly $80,000 to change his testimony on a variety of matters to be favorable towards the Fulop Administration, especially Public Safety Director James Shea.

Maietti’s critical testimony centers around a racially-charged JCPD Motorcycle Squad report, which includes the “n-word and c-word,” that Shea covered-up to maintain Fulop’s good relationship with the Jersey City Police Superior Officers Association (JCPSOA). The agreement is signed by Tawana Moody of “who the hell is that” infamy.
