JCPOBA Pres. asks Jersey City cops to support brother Ray Regalado
While not issuing a formal endorsement, Jersey City Police Officers Benevolent Association Pres. Carmine Disbrow wrote a letter asking Jersey City cops to support their brother Ray Regalado.
LD-31 Assembly candidate Ray Regalado, a Jersey City police officer for over twenty years, has received the support of Jersey City Police Officers Benevolent Association (JCPOBA) President Carmine Disbrow.
In a letter to Jersey City cops, Disbrow made it clear that the union “does not endorse candidates, and would not tell you how to vote, but we do hope that you will consider supporting Ray, and encouraging others that you know to do the same.”
Disbrow states that Regalado “has served as a proud member of the Jersey City Police Department for over 20 years, and has made a name for himself as a tireless advocate for improved relations between public safety and the community.”
“He believes, as do we, that by working together police and residents can improve the quality of life for all of us.”
Additionally, Disbrow makes note that “Ray also knows what it means to be on the job at a time when we are coming face to face with elected officials that seek to demonize us, strip us of our health care benefits and hard earned pensions, and enact policies that negatively impact our ability to do our jobs.”
“As a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, Ray will be a strong advocate for us, standing up for all of us that wear the badge, and making sure our voices are heard in the hall of the New Jersey Statehouse.”
